I agree, but discovering what thing (s) he is doing wrong is exceedingly difficult and varies from man to man.

The most common thing I am aware of is picking cheap, trashy, sexy women who will cheat on almost anyone. The second most common thing is picking women out of your league who think that their increased desirability gives them license to cheat on you at will. Sadly, they are often right in that men in this position will often not leave such women even when they catch them cheating because they think they will never again get such an attractive woman. The men are often right about this and keep on being victims.
