In A World Where Woman Asking A Man Out Is Norm, How Often Would You Reject?

Question

I'm aware that quite a few women do approach men, and kudos to them.  But this post is about a hypothetical world where gender norms based on dating are swapped.

I probably would do it a few times to be honest. Why because there are incidents where I don´t want to ask me out or start a conversation with me especially if they are strangers. Even in reality I hate it if I go grocery shopping and someone starts a conversation with me because that takes my mind of my shopping list and it´s not the place I´d like to start a conversation with a stranger. But it would probably happen rarely because there are few times in my daily schedule where someone could start a conversation with me or ask me out.
So I completely understand that for a woman she might reject me when she´s in a place where she doesn´t want to be bothered. The problem of modern days is just there´s never a time that´s the right time for sure.

Realistically I would freeze up like a deer in headlights like I did all the times I got told that. One time I accepted it didn’t go so well (we don’t talk about it). Got asked to prom and I couldn’t speak for a solid few minutes before she revoked the invite.

As I am already with my girlfriend I would reject all, but let's assume I was single.

I think I would be less picky than women generally are, at least for a first date. If she's genuinely interested in me, I would tend to give her a chance, except if she was really not attractive to me.

I would at least turn it around so that it is as though I asked her out. I am not into this woman leading date thing like I follow her around and she buys me my dinner and she drives me around places. I flip the table. I drive her around. I say where we go. I pay for the dinner.

In a relationship always. As single probably something like 50%. But in the end its a matter of frequency and how much time you got. If I had girls asking me out every single day, the rejection rate would climb. If it's once a month you can afford to give them a chance before rejection.

Given that it’s pretty impossible to have such kind of word, I think honestly I’d reject every one that wouldn’t suit my tastes or wouldn’t give me good vibes or I wouldn’t feel the same level with.

I think honestly first of all there’s compatibility, if there isn’t, it’s useless to insist asking out… this is valid both for men and women.

It would depend on how many times women would approach me and who they are. I have (politely) rejected women who asked me to be their girlfriend or to go to their place for the night before.

It depends on her personality. She can shoot her shot. And just like a guy, it doesn't guarantee her anything.  Just take the same advice you give to a guy who wanted to ask a woman out.

If the women asking me out are genuinely cool I might never have to reject anyone. I might not know how much it hurts someone on getting rejected but I’m sure it must be a nasty experience so I wish I never have to reject anyone both in a hypothetical situation and in a real one.

I usually reject a woman if she does not meet my standards. There is surrogacy so I can have a family that way, so if she is not up to par then I reject her.

I'd do what I currently do, never ask anyone out and reject everyone who asks me by telling them I'm not ready to date.
Not because of any standards or being picky. But purely because I think I'm crap and don't deserve a relationship.

dont know as that would require having lived in such a world to guage how i would react seeing as in that world, women asking would be the norm. which makes it a fantasy world, same as if it was "a world made of chocolate".

Unless she is obese, or one of us is already taken, probably never. The obesity thing is because of the level of physical activity in my life. If she is large but can still run a 10K I'd be fine with it.

It wouldn’t bother me at all to be asked out. It solves all the potential questions if she is just wanting to be friends or more. Cause you make things awkward asking if friendship is all that’s desired…
