to clarify, I suggested waiting until she was more free, then she ghosted. I don't understand.

1. Bringing her child along ensures that there will be no hanky and no panky! Perhaps that is what she wanted.

2. Maybe she wanted a date NOW and a sitter was not available. Many people don't want to trust a sitter they don't already know so the choices are unlimited.

3. A woman with a child is a package deal. When you rejected a date with her now, because of her child, she may have taken that as a rejection of her child. That is the end of the line with most single moms.

4. I believe that it is a mistake for a single parent to let their kids meet the dates too soon. Kids can get attached very quickly and when it doesn't work out, then they feel victimized and abandoned once again. I prefer not meeting kids at least until me and a lady are dating exclusively and auditioning for the roles of Mister and Miss Forever.

It’s not always that easy to ”just get a babysitter”. Maybe her family and friends work or are busy. Maybe she doesn’t want to tell them she’s on a date. Some don’t have any support in that way from family or friends either. And a lot of people aren’t comfortable hiring some random babysitter that they or their child has never met.

She got angry at you because you are suggesting she should spend money and time to find a baby sitter for you when you have not offered to pay for the babysitter or given her any reason to reward you by hiring a babysitter to meet you for a date. She is angry because she does not believe she owes you a better experience of her then you would have if her kid is not around because you have not offered her an incentive for that so far in the relationship.

She’s probably not in place in which she can date right now. She probably thought she was ready, but she realized she’s not. Remember, a single parent has a LOT on her plate. If that’s not something you can deal with, don’t date a single mother.
