What advice would you give a woman struggling with online dating?

28F is about to turn 29; I am ready to find a guy and get married. I feel like I am ready and feel like it's the next chapter in my life. With the pandemic, I've been sticking to online dating, and since I'm not around a lot of single people. Unfortunately, I feel like I don't really get guys I'm attracted to messaging me on the apps (yes I message them too). I have no problem with video chatting or at least meeting up for coffee for the first date. I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong because I feel like I'm not really meeting the greatest of men (like one of the guys was a serial cheater at least he told me).

I am needing advice on how to meet the guys that are right for me on dating apps? Or is there one dating app you recommend the most?

Most people do not pay enough attention to their profile and pictures and that's why they don't get results. It is impossible for you to read your profile objectively. Do you have a brother, male cousin, male friend who you trust to be honest with you? You could ask them to read your profile and give you some feedback.

Taking your time with the photos, filling up your profile and giving guys a fair chance. I'll give an example from just a few minutes ago. I got messaged here by a guy with a sixpack showing. Alarm says "it's going to be about sex, isn't it?" But I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Turns out... it was about sex.

Unfortunate, but the opposite can also happen. Or if there is a guy you find attractive but doesn't check all the boxes, talk to him anyway. Because you aren't perfect either and a profile can only tell the other person so much.

I’m in the same boat. As you probably know, there are a lot of weirdos on those dating apps. Most (not all) of the guys on there only want a hookup and nothing more. Since you’re looking for a long term relationship that leads to marriage, I’ve heard that Match and eHarmony are good, quality dating sites. However, they’re not cheap. I don’t know how much you’re willing to pay.

I've never had any woman in my life meet ne off of any dating app and I have paid for a few. I guess I'm just not good at presenting myself online. The best thing to do is find an activity or hobby that involves groups of people. Got to church or learn something in school or lessons. In public places show interest or flirt with guys walking by or are shopping near you.

Most of the people there are looking for a partner, not just a hook up.
