Is this a red flag?

I went on 2 dates with a guy and I was very impressed with how thought out both dates were. He seems to be very intentional with how he dates & sounds like he ultimately wants something serious.

We did start getting a little comfortable on the 2nd date and it did get a bit sexual. However I was clear that we're not quite there yet & he agreed that he still wants to get to know each other and go on a couple more dates before we actually have sex.

I can tell he is getting more & more comfortable with me and would sometimes through in some sexual innuendos despite him saying he'd like to establish a little bit more of what we are. Is this considered a red flag?

I asked because I can't tell if the agenda was to just get the sex then leave and a guy will say anything to obtain it or if he's genuine and just getting comfortable which isn't a bad thing and wanted to hear opinions/thoughts on it.

So now depends in your side... if you jump in bed with him so fast then he might have won, but if you hold him at arm's lenght, and he is willing to wait, then he might want something serious.

For marriage? Then you are too sexual too fast and not getting to know the guy. What you will end up with is bunch of sexual partners and drama.

Sounds like a green flag to me. He likes you, finds you attractive, and is willing to wait a while. He throws in the innuendoes as a reminder to you that he's waiting... and to let him know when you're no longer waiting.

I'm not a woman, so my perspective is not the same as yours, but it doesn't sound like a red flag to me. It sounds like he is serious, and he's a man that finds you attractive and he'd like to have sex with you. These are not mutually exclusive things.

I wouldn't count sexual jokes as a red flag but if you're uncomfortable with those jokes I'd suggest you make it very clear, if he continues to make those jokes then that is a red flag. Unless there's information you're leaving out making jokes or even talking about sex isn't in lieu of him wanting to get to know you over more dates. He's attracted to you, not everything is a cause for concern.

Men are weird when it comes to making sexual jokes with the same person they are sexually attracted to as well. They're joking but not joking... if that makes sense? The good news is, most men like this would be okay with either. Just wait until it's right for both of you. The stars won't align perfectly for you and God isn't going to whisper in your ear saying that it's time... just go with your gut. It's different for everyone!

i don't see a red flag, an orange flag or whatever. it sounds like things are going well. there is some sexual desire involved but he sounds like he sort of wants to temper this in favor of establishing the relationship more

The only red flag I’m seeing is your skill at self sabotage. There are plenty of things to watch out for, but a guy getting comfortable enough around you to make jokes and be sexually attracted to you should be a requirement, not a warning sign.

Personally, I wouldn't be cool if a guy made sexual jokes with me. I'd be insulted by that like he's being disrespectful. Like they say, guys are always trying to see how far the girl will let the guy go in disrespecting her so she has to put him in his place and tell him you aren't trash.
