Should they also include a woman weight?
526 opinions shared on Dating topic. From what I remember, these apps equally ask for height from men and women, not just men. But if you're that concerned with weight, get off the app and go meet someone in person so you can see for yourself what you're up against. Dating apps do not tell the whole story. First, people can lie about height and weight (or conveniently miscalculate it), and secondly you don't get the whole picture of what someone looks like based on crude measurements. Just because a guy is shorter doesn't mean he can't be attractive to a woman. Just because a woman is larger doesn't mean she can't be attractive to a man. I wish people would just get out of their bubbles and decide from pictures people post or based on what a person has to say in their bio or in their private messages as a reason to get out of the house to go meet them.

You can have a woman who is 135 pounds that is still overweight if she is short or a woman that is super skinny at 170+ pounds if she is taller. But honestly the whole filtering people by height is silly too. You can’t really pick a partner by numbers, you would filter out people who might actually be compatible with for someone that might hit those requirements but not be right for you

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yDo you have to list your height? Can you abstain from that question? I've never cared about the height question because my attitude is if my height is the determinant on whether she wants to date me or not then I really don't want to date her.
Also I can't imagine a woman would want to list her weight.
I tell you what I would like to see. Since usually they have a spot for income I think they should also have a spot for debt. I don't care what you make 25k a year or 100k. It's pointless if you're barely treading water up to your eyeballs in debt.

+1 yYou cannot select your mate by numbers.
Doing this just tells the universe your not ready for what it wants to give you.
Damn people. Be adventurous. Go out with the short fat guy or the older ugly woman.
It's food and conversation at the very least.

+1 yI think they also include a woman’s height. When I had a dating app, I had included my height.
But you can skip that info if you don’t want to share with them.

I am not sure which dating APP you use, I have only used Bumble. I have deleted it months ago but Bumble was pretty nice. There, girls need to write men first.
This is probably a necessary feature for people who are obsessed with heights.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yFrankly, if you want to start with a basic honest understanding of one another, weight would be a parameter along with height, eye colour, general location, race, sex and a bunch of other stuff. But I guess the women would hate. So they don't.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yWeight is not universal, you could have heavy bones, light bones, muscle weighs more then fat. In the morning its a lot less then after a full meal. Wouldn't tell you a lot unless the weight would be 300 pounds. Photos tell a lot more

+1 yNone of these features should be a must
10 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. no they should include her body count but usually a profile pic with tattoos, piercings and weird colored hair is enough

Today 115, Sunday 114, Monday 117 😂😂😂😂 - +1 y
For women it's different. We bloat randomly due to hormones. I could gain 10lbs overnight then lose it the next day.
And height looks the same on everyone. I can imagine someone that's 6ft but weight looks different on everyone. For example 125 for me is fat but 125 for someone else might be deathly skinny - +1 y
You weigh what you weigh. You simply feel that it's unfair for women to have to put their weight in a profile because some men might reject them based on the weight and their height of course.
Kind of the way women reject men all the time based on the man's height and his perceived wealth. Not to mention whether or not they think his face is good looking enough.
I realize there's a woman you certainly are not in favor of equal treatment for men and women since women expect to be treated with much more deference but that has to end. Otherwise, marriage will continue to decline and women will never get what they want. - +1 y
I'm not in favor for equal treatment at all. Life is not like that. Both genders have unfair challenges to face. For men it just happens to be that women have a few standards for height and wealth. (I don't personally agree with caring about those things so I don't fully understand those women either but it's their choice)
No. Weight can actually be very illusive. Some people look heavier then they are and some look lighter then they really are. Plus, you’ll see what they look like on there profile picture pictures.

+1 ySo how taller are you? If you don’t mind me asking… 🙃
00 Reply453 opinions shared on Dating topic. Yes and it needs to be a filterable as women can easily filter out men below 6ft.
00 Reply1K opinions shared on Dating topic. it includes everyones height but people choose not to put it down, i assume a woman is tall if she doesn't put it down, im not afraid to put im 5'9 down, doesn't affect me in the slightest

+1 yNo. If you're embarrassed by your height, don't post it.
00 Reply671 opinions shared on Dating topic. They do, sort of: “a few extra pounds” is very common on dating sites.
00 Reply10.9K opinions shared on Dating topic. I think the pics are supposed to take care of that. Sure, they can use old/adulterated pics, but they could lie about their weight too.

@spartan55 I know I've posted this before on GaG, but it fits the subject: Years ago a friend of mine had a co-worker on the opposite coast he had to talk to a lot on the phone. He asked her to send a pic (was before Facetime) and she sent a blurry pic of her - standing behind a car. Yeah when he met her she was rather large.
