If you lose a spouse to death how long until you date again?

Totally up to the feelings of the living spouse. But ofc the environment will react to it. My aunt never dated anyone again after her husband's death. My grandpa introduced us to his new girlfriend on my grannies first death day. Sooo... yeah. People will form an opinion if its in bad taste or not. But it's not like you can control others and that's something you'd have to come to terms with, I guess.

I was never in the situation so I can´t give you an exact time period. I just say that I would wait until I´m at peace with my spouse death and I´m ok with allowing another person in my life and make room for them.

My 89 year old uncle was engaged 5 weeks after his wife of 65 years died. That seems a little quick

If my husband died dating someone else wouldn't be a priority for a very long time. Honestly I don't think I could date anyone else if my husband died even though I'm still young, it would be very hard to find someone who can complete my life as my husband does. If we had kids I would probably not ever date anyone else again I would just focus on the kids and in providing them a very comfortable life.
