I'm in a similar position at 46, you're not going to pull like you did in 20's and 30's, but you can certainly do much better than most if you were "sleeping with hundreds of women" then, you are still attractive now (unless you let yourself go completely, the looks should still be there). Women are into older men more than men are into older women. My girlfriend is 23 and I just hooked up with a gorgeous yoga instructor last month (we are in an open ENM) who I don't know her exact age but early to mid 20s. I don't really go out and try to get laid, though, but I don't think 41 (or even 50) is the end of days.

I would say also that if you are just going for hookups, then yeah you are going to move towards the bottom of the barrel. The superficial connections are looking for the best they can get in superficial (looks) categories. I like to make a deeper connection and tend to do well (even better than some younger, just as attractive or more attractive men) because I fulfill a need that others don't.
