Woman says I don't need to take her so seriously?

Exactly what the title asks. A woman I was talking to/seeing a while back said this to me during one of our conversations. I'm just confused by this statement, and wanted to get other people's opinions on what that means. Don't people usually want to be taken seriously in the dating world?

This was someone I knew as a friend for about 2 years before things developed. So, I felt like we knew each other pretty well at that point.

She also said during the dtr talk we had that she can't be in a relationship at the moment cause she wasn't emotionally there to make that commitment. I wasn't willing to do the whole casual thing, cause I date with intention. That was a few months ago, so hopefully she's doing alright.
