Surprisingly, grandparents have more often been ok with that sort of attire, I think it's because they regret not doing so themselves when younger, a "you don't appreciate the value of looks until they're gone" sort of thing.

Parents tend to get overprotective, its viewed as being easy or advertizing shallowness and they think that guys will objectify her/use her.
But the thing is, if any woman that pretty wanted my attention bad enough that she's willing to dress half naked in public (and deal with that awkwardness) just to convince me to keep her, then I'd keep her (assuming she were mentally compatible with interests/hobbies and whatnot).

The effort is greatly appreciated, it lets a guy know what he's getting so he can decide how to proceed. Yes, personality matters, a LOT, but nothing sucks worse than getting along great, getting to the point of showing off the body, and not liking what you see. So I want to see BEFORE the emotional attachment and compatibility check happens. Otherwise it's way more awkward for her than just being gawked at by horny or prudish strangers (or a concerned parent).

No one wants to hear "I really like you but I'm not turned on so I'm not interested", and lewd attire avoids that by weeding out anyone who doesn't like your looks before they even talk to you.
