Should I be worried that when I made my boyfriend laugh he looked at another girl?

I made him laugh today and his gaze went to a long-term friend I have. They have known one another for a while. I am worried he likes her more than me. What do I do? Do I try to make him like me more? Do I bring this up with him? I’m confused.

Sometimes, people look at others for acknowledgment or check them to see their reactions. That does not mean that they like the other persons more but is simply a way to assess the reaction in general.

It seems that you are very insecure and that the simple fact that your boyfriend did not look at you when he laughed seems to cause you to worry and start to overthink.

If he is your boyfriend, then I would suppose that you know him but your behavior indicates that you don't really know him that well.

Also, trying to make someone like you more most often does not work because you come as needy or clingy. How do you plan on make him like you more? By doing things that you would otherwise not do? By allowing things that you would otherwise not allow just so that he likes you more?

This will have the opposite effect because you are showing that you are willing to do just about anything for attention.

Talk to him about your insecurities and how hurt you have felt that he seemed to have paid more attention to her instead of you.
