Why can't people be their authentic selves and express how they feel whether interested or not? I'm finding it to be hard to find people who are compatible nor on my level financially/ career wise.

Why do you think it should be easy? In the past we had forces pushing us together like survival the harsh outside world that was a threat at all times. But now people can get almost any need met on demand and you can adjust and personalize a lot of things so it's exactly how you want it. But people are not that way. We need each other less and less and so the things we don't like about each other stand out more. My life is basically perfect without you and now I have to deal with all these issues that I wouldn't have otherwise. Personally I think it's a very big challenge to find someone I'm truly compatible with. It takes a lot of understanding of people and social skills and you have to have your life under control and at the same time have more energy to invest in this relationship.

Lack of authenticity, people are too scare to be vulnerable and get attach/hurt, poor communication skills & avoidance than having simple open conversations, burned out by disappointments/losses and don’t have energy/hope, not willingly to compromise and be understanding, walking away and looking for the “best next option” > focusing and cherishing the development with one person
