I'm going on a date tomorrow with someone who is not my type. I've already told her that I'm only interested in meeting up as friends. So I hope it goes well and I don't hurt her feelings.
Personally for me, I like tall girls actually…but they usually reject me cause they want taller guys. In your case though it’s probably your muscles rather than your height that’s intimidating
Well, you weigh more than me lol…I’m about 163 lbs rn. I used to be the same weight as you but I lost some weight. I don’t lift at all though so a lot of it is probably body fat, I’m about 25% body fat I think.
That’s fair…look here’s the thing…typically dating a woman heavier or stronger than me would be a dealbreaker…and on dating apps it would be, but I’m not gonna say there’s zero exceptions IRL. For example, if I met someone like you IRL, initially I might be intimidated but if I really liked your personality and I felt like there was mutual attraction, I’d give it a shot.
Well the problem with dating apps is that you only see what they look like…they have height listed but they don’t have weight listed…so if a girl looks substantially heavier than me, I’d probably swipe left because I’d have no way of verifying her weight before I met her because a lot of girls would get triggered if I asked that…
Olderandnotwiser asked a new question. I need to say something to rain on his parade.😈😈😈
Jokes aside, all these dating apps and stuff promise people something or in this case someone they cannot achieve. People are trying to choose themselves as if they were buying a new dishwasher. I don't think people will get more flexible with their standards. In fact, they'll get harder to please day by day.
There so many good-hearted women out there. Satisfying needs of an old man in need is a community service indeed. You're lucky that you bumped into ladies like those.
My goal is to meet someone who loves me but I don’t. I have tried to love someone but men hate it, they like someone who don’t like them. They chase someone who they can’t get, once they know that they can get a girls heart, they move on.
I don't consider myself to have a 'type' because when I reflect upon archives of my dating portfolio there is what I consider to be adequate diverification.
Why would I date someone who isn't my type? I have been with someone who was perfect for me before and it was the best experience I ever had. I would never be that happy with someone I wouldn't truly love.
That said, looks wise I don't need a model I find a lot of girls pretty. Its the personality that makes my type rare and hard to find. But when I find a girl like that its absolutely incredible.
Hmmm if given the chance I would date someone who wasn't my type. They might be an awesome person to be around who knows. At worst it's dating experience for me.
I have dated most guys I wasn’t really attracted to. So far I dated 1 attractive guy that lasted a few months. Hopefully in the future I’ll meet “my type” of guy.
I've always been mostly true to my preferences. Chubby girls with glasses, that is. I only once had sex with someone who didn't wear glasses, but in her favour, she had a very entertaining personality.
Yes. I have dated many women who weren’t my type but i was attracted and had a decent relationship with them. Sometimes, you don’t get what you want but you get what you need.

Approach it with an open mind. You never know what might happen.
Okay
I have dated women who were not my type and been very pleasantly surprised!
Alright! I'll try. Lol
Well im 5'11 girl that Has a kink for short guys 😅 i never really dated anyone like that they are scared to approuch me so its not that easy 😅
Personally for me, I like tall girls actually…but they usually reject me cause they want taller guys. In your case though it’s probably your muscles rather than your height that’s intimidating
Probably yeah guys avoid girls that might even beat them Up if they get mad 😅 whats your height by the way?
I’m 5’6 1/2” on a good day lol
Oh thats cute ☺️ i like guys like you when they are not scared straight away 😂
Personally like I said, your height wouldn’t scare me, I was into a 6’2” girl in high school, but tbh your muscles probably would ngl…
Am i really that big already? 😅

@Viola_456 I agree with you

*a partner choose themselves a partner
I was actively dating until I met my fiancée in December 2020.
Your ideas about being old are very stereotyped.

Please spare me any more of your "humor."

"they like someone who don’t like them" That sounds rather absurd to me and is not my experience at all.
@whistlingwh0res I must agree with you
Almost everyone I dated were my type, according to physical attraction.
And, then, they spoke...
"No more!" to a some.
I will get back to you if I ever have a real date.
I would have guessed that you had many guys waiting to ask you for a date!
Not as many as one may think.

Good attitude!

I dated 4 guys, only 1 was completely my type. The only bad thing about him was he was younger and immature.
I've always been mostly true to my preferences.
Chubby girls with glasses, that is.
I only once had sex with someone who didn't wear glasses, but in her favour, she had a very entertaining personality.
I never do. For me I give utmost importance to " my type" and I am very rigid on that.
I Got Fooled Just Once with Someone from New York Whom I Ended Falling For... Um... Nice Young Girl You did. lol!!! xxoo
Life is tooo short for that though to date someone who isn't your type when your type is still out there 😭
never but my type is like personality shit
we gotta have a certain vibe
I don't have a type, however I don't intend to waste my time with a housewife. A woman could be the most perfect housewife and I'd still say "no".
I have done it a few times and enjoyed it but we did not last long in that regaurd
It only happened twice and those were not serious relationships I was just bored.
I’d never date someone who wasn’t my type. What would be the point?
If you had tried it, you could answer that question.
So there is a point?
Yes. I have dated many women who weren’t my type but i was attracted and had a decent relationship with them. Sometimes, you don’t get what you want but you get what you need.
