By "like", you mean clicking a like button on social media? If so, I never did that. I don't even use social media unless this site counts and I just use it for Q&A.

If you mean just enjoying those, I try not to look at them but if they pop up somewhere, I might enjoy it a little bit. Not going to be clicking any ads or like buttons though.

I actually think guys who do that are pretty lame if they think they're going to impress girls doing it. There was a time long ago in my 20s when I got to date a swimsuit model here in Japan. In the nightclub in which I met her, so many guys were trying to hit on her. You could practically see a line of men forming trying to get their turn to hit on her. I thought they were all lame and so egotistical to think they had a chance with her.

So I didn't bother to even try to talk to her even though I found her very pretty and just sat down and mellowed out. First I didn't think I had any chance with her but also I had a sense of self-dignity. I didn't want to look so lame trying to be the next guy taking his turn to hit on her.

But she ended up sitting next to me later on and asked me how it was going and we started talking and she asked me if I liked Karaoke and I said, "Hell yes!" Then she invited me to go to Karaoke with her and we started dating. And that confused me a bit why she picked me for her date since I'm not a very cool guy and actually quite a nerd, but I think it's because I was the one guy in that club who wasn't trying to pick her up.

And I think that's the way to go. Don't buy women drinks, don't like their sexy pictures, have some self-dignity. And that seems to even attract women more when we avoid this.
