Why would my ex girlfriend ask for a love letter? She told me it would be cute to show her grandchildren. I am so confused.

This is a weird one dude. Hard to say for sure what your ex is thinking by asking for that love letter. A few possibilities:

- Nostalgia - She's reminiscing about your relationship and the romantic feelings you shared. Sometimes people look back with rose-colored glasses.

- Testing the waters - She could be seeing if those feelings are still there for you too by having you write the letter. A way to gauge if you'd consider getting back together.

- Confusion - Maybe she's going through her own stuff and feeling sentimental/mixed up about the past. Breakups are messy emotionally.

- Ego boost - Flattering to think someone still cares enough about her to pour their heart out, even if not gonna act on it. Feeds the ego a bit.

I'd be kinda wary of what her true motives are before pouring my soul into that letter, ya feel? Could just end up hurt again. If you do write it, keep it pretty general - don't wanna regret revealing too much. And set clear boundaries that you're just friends now. Tread lightly my dude!
