So do you do this? Would you? Or no way?
Don't be shy. ;-)
when I was younger (in grade school) I tried to kiss a girls hand that I had a crush on, but she hit me in the face and I started crying...the fact that she didn't like me hurt more than the hit
so I don't know if I would today, LOL. I'm kinda tramatized
My ex used to do it sometimes when he'd hold my hand. Like kiss my hand or fingers. But that didn't last long, lol. About halfway through our relationship, I was getting by on like bare-minimum 'everyday' kind of affection, outside of our usual hug and kiss goodbye, and leading up to sex and whatnot. -_- Which generally did not include cute things like that anymore.
My boyfriend does it all the time. If we're holding hands or hugging or something he'll just take my hand and press a kiss to my knuckles or something like that. But, then again, we're really cutesy, lovey-dovey and such so it's just standard protocol. He also lifts me over puddles, hahaha.
My boyfriend does the same!
my boyfriend does still :) I love it. it just means the world and he tells me he adores me when he does it :)
It's some peculiar thing I do. I only kiss the hand when I'm driving. I reach for her hand, flip it to the knuckle side, and kiss.
I'd be too shy to kiss a girl on the hand like Thor did in the movie. That's a bit too old fashion, even for me.
I am definitely a bit old fashioned Haha. Nice, though. ;-)
That's very cute, though. I like it :)
I love being old-fashioned when it comes to romance! romance now is just like buying drugs sh*tty, specially in age 20 area.
but yes I would kiss a girl hands on a date :)
I kiss my sisters hands and mom's and I'm not afraid to kiss a strangers hands!
Gestures like this continue on from when my throat is too sore from 'I love you's.
Very sweet, David.
Sorry. Wrong answer. Very sweet still.
Yes I would do it not in half of date of course. When we meet I would kiss her hand like a gentleman :)
Very nice. ;-)
I used to kiss on her hands and she used to do the same thing..too bad we are not together anymore...
that's sad. :( aww.
I would, yes. I don't know why some of these guys think it's weird.
I did it when I was younger, but girls always got this weirded out look on their face, so I stopped.
yeah I would do it, I like it too
i think it makes her feel how much I appreciate her
I hope it hasn't died out...it is so cute and sweet.
I could do it under right circumstance but mostly I would be wondering 'it's kinda outdated, what if she thinks I'm a bit weird for doing that?'
I have done and still do this on certain occasions:
1) If I know the lady well. I often greet close female acquaintances in this manner, and it just adds an overall atmosphere of respect to the meeting. Together with its obligatory bow, it seems to communicate "I admire your beauty and acknowledge your higher status; however, I am not presumptuous of a committed romantic relationship". Also, it indicates that the gentleman respects the lady's personal space.
I have found that it is a gesture that requires some degree of skill to perform correctly. The bow should be graceful and not abrupt. The touch on the lady's hand and / or fingers should be a very light one, as if handling a fine jewel.
2) If the lady I am meeting / being introduced to extends her hand in such a manner ( palm downward ). I also enjoy the smile and light giggle following a hand kiss - this is the reaction I have received most often upon such introductions.
I think some guys are skeptical to do it because girls like me get so embarrassed and we hate that, and I think a few girls are like that.
Women, do you cook for your man anymore?
do you clean the house for your man anymore?
do you stay virgins for your man anymore?
do you keep classy anymore?
these are all old gender roles, no one should kiss anyone's hand
I cook, clean and give my boyfriend sex whenever he wants so don't judge ALL women :p might be I'm mexican so yeah :p
Kissing a hand isn't a sign of submission or respect or anything. It's a sign of love and affection. She's not asking if guys bow down and kiss hands and praise their women. She's asking if guys do adorable little things like that.
It's not about gender roles it's about how you show affection for your partner. Which, according to you, is reserved for the 1920s. No girl is going to want you if you don't show her you care for her, kissing her hand is just one of many, many ways to do that.
I didn't know any women wanted that, I'd be afraid of being called lame if I did that.
I've had that happen... I laughed lol. It was cute just a little... odd haha.
If I'm being silly yeah I'd probably do it. Doing it as a serious gesture would feel a little odd.
My boyfriend does it all the time, and kisses my eyelids, for head, and my sholders<333
A guy did that to me once, and I loved it! It's so sweet. :)
i used to be but not anymore because I will kiss my future girlfriend's hand only but I don't have girlfriend
Lol I just posted a question about this. A close guy friend of mine did before he had to leave :(

A handshake first, a hug next, followed by a kiss on the hand to imply true attraction. The kiss on the hand is my signal that I wish to court her, not just date her casually.
A kiss on the hand will come before a kiss on the cheek. The kiss on the cheek will happen before a kiss on the lips.
Yes, miss, there are still gentlemen out here. Yes, there are gentlemen for gentlewomen.
