Why a lot of my friends ask if you are single?

Most of my friends are guys, because it’s not many girls in my circles. But since i have boyfriend, i respect my boyfriend, so i avoid to hangout with them in the night. Morning and in the day for a coffee or lunch is fine.
But some of them asked me the same question every time i met them.
“Are u single now?”.
That’s really bother me, I think that they hope i will be dumped someday.
Should i cut contact with them?

Hmm that is a weird situation man. I can see why it would bother you that your guy friends keep asking if you're single now, even though they know you have a boyfriend.

A few thoughts on it:

- Some guys just don't respect boundaries. Even if they're your friends, they might secretly be hoping for more if you ever broke up.

- Keeping asking like that, even after you've said no multiple times, is disrespectful to your relationship. They shouldn't be pushing that.

- It could be they don't take your relationship that seriously since they didn't meet the boyfriend before. But that doesn't mean they get to disrespect it!

- I'd be direct with them and say something like "Guys, I've said I have a boyfriend many times. Can you please stop asking about my relationship status?"

- If they keep it up after that, then they may not really be good friend material. No real friend would deliberately try to undermine your relationship.

- You may need to distance yourself from those pushy friends for a while if cutting them off completely seems harsh. But protect your relationship first.

- Just be cautious hanging with friends who don't really honor your commitment to your boyfriend. That could lead to misunderstandings down the line.

Well.. there are two ways you can take it.

Either they are hoping to tap your ass as soon as you're free, like you're the town bike or something.

Or they are just in your friendzone and not sure what you see them as.

Because i rarely have contact with them after I’m with my boyfriend. My routine just work, and hangout with my boyfriend. And some girls sometimes.

You aren't friends then
