This guy is friends with me and an another girl. Both me and the girl like him but he only likes me. He says the other girl is more demanding and has a bit of a mouth on her. she's too complicated to deal with. He is four years older than me and she’s the same age. He prefers to be with me more because I’m more “easy going” and sweet. I’ve heard when a guy says that it’s because he wants to take advantage of her.
Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yBeing easy going doesn’t mean you’re “easy.” You can still have those boundaries set. But if you’re easy going it’s easier for him to be himself. He doesn’t have to try to impress you or act like something he’s not. He can talk to you, goof off w you. I like women who are like that. Not a girl who has up all kinds of barriers. Yes barriers for sex are fine, but just loosen up, smile, joke around, have fun. Don’t be too concerned w omg I ate too much is he going to think I’m a pig or something.

m 1 yI actually have the reputation of being "easy going", both from guys, girls, romantic interests and... Everyone I meet in person. But I know the reasons for me, I know it means that I'm laid back, that there is no fuss with me etc and that could be your case as well but...
Words are also subjective, contextual, dependent on who says them, in which situation etc.
So, according to you, what does this guy mean when he says that, himself, him?

1 yIt's good to be easy going, you'd probably have a better life if you were. However, being passive is not. I believe that being easy going is partially a compliment but there are many people that do try to use your spirit as a means for manipulation and extortion. I don't think that you should completely cut him off, but also if you guys do take this to the next level watch what he says and does in arguments. Even in the joking non-serious ones.

1 yYou know how you are, but you'd better pay attention to how he is. Sometimes men see where they can push their limits with you. Make sure you're getting what you want out of the situation as well and aren't putting up with anything he decides to put you through.

You probably heard that from either other guys who are jealous or programmed to look at dudes like that as a threat, or from other girls who are not easy going and hate the girls who are because they know easy going girls are better to get along with and more respectful.
You're always going to have some guys who try to take advantage of somebody, but what are you going to do? Be stuck up to every male who comes along? Being easy going is a good thing.

1 yOh course it’s a good thing to be “easy going”. Anyone you thinks otherwise has been brainwashed by our backward “modern” culture. And it’s usually modern feminists brainwashing women to be antagonistic and combative towards men calling it “independent and strong” bs.
00 Reply 3.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. Easy going girls & easy girls (greater than sign) overly complicated girls, difficult girls, entitled girls, girls with added extra issues, girls, that are/play hard to get, gold diggers
What do you think why passport bros exist and go to South America or Southeast Asia?
00 Reply999 opinions shared on Dating topic. If you work well with him and are more laid back that is a good thing. If you are naive it can be a bad thing. But men much prefer women who bring them peace and make their life lighter, and it sounds like that's what you do. Plus being younger? It's no wonder he likes you more

1 yIt depends. What do you know about both people?
Context matters because if the other girl is rude, aggressive, and/or controlling, then he has a good reason to not prefer her. I understand you don't want to get taken advantage of by a sleazeball, so if you haven't already I would suggest paying attention to the things they say and do, and how they interact with people. If you've been doing that but can't read red flags in people, then please provide more information.

1 yI am thinking that maybe all men are gigolos. Maybe you should think that way. He is just a gigolo waiting for a rich woman pass by and drool for money. And yet you are just an easy girl who pass your opportunity and give him free sex? I don’t know.. maybe he is a gigolo.
00 Reply2.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. Yeah, it's better than being masculine, rude, difficult. If a guy says you are "easy going" and 'sweet' it doesn't even have anything to do with sex. When a guy says you're "easy" then it's about sex.

1 yWhen Mr Right or Prince Charming 👑 or 👔 comes along - surely for women it's a good thing if they only intend on him being there one mate for life - same goes for men looking for an ideal woman who's not gonna cheat or wander her eyes 👁️👁️

1 yEasy going is generally regarded as a good thing, but I've never heard of anyone saying it in the context of thinking that person would be easy to take advantage of.

1K opinions shared on Dating topic. what makes you think it wouldn't be a good thing?
00 Reply972 opinions shared on Dating topic. Not always. Some men love problems, when you don't cause any, they will start to do.
00 ReplyThat's not necessarily true. Men like simple, quiet, and reserved women. Being "easy going" probably just means you're not complex and hard to understand. That's a good thing.

1 yWhy would u stand there waiting to be chosen? Pathetic
Put yourself on a higher pedestal girl!
He can choose her because you have left the building 😂00 ReplyA guy of any age (or a girl, for that matter) could take advantage of anyone. Easy going, as you describe it, not being a demanding loudmouth, is definitely good.
10 ReplyHe’s just saying you’re nicer. Personally I like a kind woman who can also supply her own self respect.
00 ReplyIt's a good thing. Guys lives are complicated enough. The woman should make his life easier, not harder.

1 yFrom the way you describe it, it doesn't seem like he wants to take advantage of you.
It seems like he wants minimal drama.
So in this case, being easygoing is a good thing.
