I met my supervisor at my summer job and we had many things in common and we became very close friends very fast as we told each other very personal things and would non-stop talk everyday. Slowly I developed feelings for him but he gave very mixed signals as he was nervous about him being my supervisor and our work having a strict no dating policy. However, we ended up confessing our feelings for each other one night at a work party and ended up hooking up, however we stated after we were not just going to hook up we wanted to see where things go after the summer after we would both be leaving our workplace.
Throughout the summer we still talked everyday. We also agreed to be exclusive even though we had to wait a couple of months to be together. I grew really strong feelings for him and he was a really good guy, always checking in on me and reassuring me. However, he did slowly give mixed signals and stopped flirting and he said it was nervousness of people at work fining out. At the end of the summer we had a talk to see how things would progress, he stated that at the beginning he thought we were the perfect match but slowly realized we are very different people, I was extroverted and he's introverted (I am still living at University and being social while he does not like parties at all) he also is a little hesitant to be in a relationship with me as I live 2 hours away for school, but agreed to go on dates as he still wanted to see where it goes. We have gone on one date, and we have barely spoken since, we still snapchat each other every couple hours but do not talk.
At this point, I do wish to see where things go but i am worried about our friendship as our friendship has not been the same since we got together, I don't know if it is a good idea to reach out and say that we aren't working out romantically right now, maybe in the future but I want to still be close friends as I miss our friendship or should I just leave it alone
