Why is it still sad?

You tell someone they are headed for a cliff. They ignore you and walk faster. You tell them again. They start to get irritated and say the cliff is fun. You tell them again. They start to get mad and say you're an intellectual elitist it's actually you heading towards a cliff. You tell them again. They have decided it's a joke and that you are boring by saying the same thing over and over. You tell them again. They see the cliff but are mad again that you were right, curse you for not listening to them, and walk faster. You tell them again. They walk over the cliff, blaming you all the way down.

This seems like it should be satisfying but instead it is sad like watching a wounded animal die.. 😔
