Is dating and finding someone to marry difficult these days?

Sadly yes , mainly because of social media warping our brains to think stupid shit , and people having multiple options to choose from through technology, cellphones and internet making people constantly think that grass is greener on the other side. So To find someone that actually has a genuine heart, that knows how to give the same way they want to receive , that knows what it means to be in a relationship with someone , is sadly harder to find these days , they are out there , but usually they are already taken by someone else. I hate to say it , but a lot of people don’t even value their relationships anymore , by all the cheating that occurs in most relationships today. Why a lot of people do not want to get into relationships anymore , because they hear constant horror stories of cheating spouses and partners’ Sadly our society has gone to hell in a hand basket. Casual sex is more important to people than actually loving from the heart. I had my heart broken a few times from lying selfish girls’ to the point it’s now harder for me to trust a girl 100 percent. So I no longer jump into a committed relationship with a girl until her and I prove to each other that we only truly want each other , basically once the infatuation period runs it’s course, then that’s usually when you will know if that person is still choosing you or they no longer choose you , that will pretty much give you an answer on whether they are in it for the long haul or the short haul. So try to find someone that makes you their top priority , find someone that chooses you over choosing anyone else. Find someone that doesn’t need space from you , people that actually love each other , don’t need space from each other , only selfish people think that way. A relationship takes 2 people choosing each other and removing selfishness for each other , making each other their top priority , Never be a convenience to anyone , if a partner starts treating you like a convenience, start treating them like one as well and get prepared for that relationship to be over unless you both somehow some way mange to make it work. Someone that actually loves you , will stand by your side through the good times and the bad. They will choose you over everyone else. Do the same for them , trust me

I got divorced in 2015, dated several women, had a few relationships that lasted more than a year, then I met Helen in December 2020. We married on April 27 this year. Dating and marriage both require effort but these were not Herculean tasks for me.

from what I have read on this site it sounds like dating is more of a pain than it used to be.
If you really want to find that someone special, what would you think about joining an actual dating site.
Not a free app that is goof for hook ups, but something like it's just lunch, eHarmony places like that where the majority of the members are looking for the same thing, that someone special.
Sure there is a cost to them, but it sure helps.
It is still a lot of work, but that is where i met my wife.
I live outside of a very small town so the choices were not all that plentiful, or great.
I may not have been everyone's first pick either.
I'm not one to go to bars/meat markets to look for someone, but it took a while but I found someone.
Give it some thought if you are interested.

Most of the women does not want to be serious and the same thing goes to some men too so it is just too hard to find the love you need. But i still believe it could be easy when the right person crosses path with you

It's definitely difficult to find someone who shares your goals:/. And dating is a waste of time especially with the way Americans do it. I like Latin Dating better. They are already always clear about marriage and family.
