Do you know the different stages of dating and being in an actual relationship?

I feel like this society of generation do not know what these stages of dating are. This is what it is for me. I’m different everybody’s different.

Talking getting to know somebody You’re checking them out you’re not even sure if you even want to go on a date with them yet

Dating where you’re actually spending time with this person until you decide you want to be exclusive

Then there is a relationship where you’re exclusively with this person holidays whatever until you are both ready to commit fully

At the end of it all marriage possibly kids eternity

What are your thoughts?

I forgot to add friendship in the beginning, which is what I would like sharing common interest or I like the way this person thinks and the ideas that they come up with then talking

Sounds to me like this is a YOU problem. YOU don't get to decide how someone does or doesn't react to you.

I understand wanting to get to know someone and trying to decide whether you want to date them or not. But speaking from experience I found women want to either date me after 5 minutes or not at all. So that's your first point shot down

Dating for exclusivity. a lot of women you go out on one date with them and they want to cut your balls off for even talking to another woman. That's point 2 shot down.

The next point is just an extension of the 2nd point. When you say holidays I assume you mean meeting his family. Because I spend holidays with my family. And I would NEVER bring a girlfriend to that unless I saw definite possibilities of her becoming part of my family.

At the end of it all marriage and kids. That's assuming the person you're dating even wants to get married. At one time I considered the possibility of marrying. I actually wanted to get married. But life has taught me the vast MAJORITY of women are not capable of a lifetime commitment. Don't that personal. Some are but most aren't. And unless she's serious about forever then I'm not serious at all.

I understand what you tried to do here. But again, you cannot come up with a personal checklist about how someone else is supposed to act and when. Relationships are most successful when people are flexible and understanding. Not rigid.

But I already stated that you date to get to exclusivity that means that technically if that does not work out, then you can go on as many dates that you want with whomever I’m not gonna fault you for doing something again this is a general idea of what I think dating is it has nothing to do with everybody else’s opinion on it

The thing is if we’re not in a relationship exclusive that means we are not seeing other people then I have no right to be upset with you for just dating another person but if it involves sex for me and we’ve crossed that road, I’ll only be upset for that Because at that point, I am exclusive with you

It's not tripping me up. We could go down the entire gamut of things. I'd agree with half I'd probably disagree with half of them. On the other side, you and I might agree on some things, but another woman not agree with either of us. This is why I say YOU don't get to decide. You get to decide for YOURSELF. Yeah, and those stages aren't even always the case. I am still at the honeymoon stage after almost 6.5 years. I have one gripe with my girlfriend, and she knows what it is. She actually hadn't noticed that she did it, and since I told her she's trying to correct it.

Yeah I feel like it is totally messed up now.. like when I was a teen and early 20's guys would ask you to be their girlfriend and you would go out on dates and get to know each other better and you were exclusive at this time. If you didn't like each other you would breakup and try again with someone else. Now it is like everyone wants to have their hand in every bodies pocket so that if you find out they are talking, dating or even sleeping with others it doesn't matter because "we weren't exclusive" or "we were only in the talking stage" I don't even care to deal with guys any more they are all fucked lmao.

Oh totally there’s a lot of gray areas when it comes to dating nowadays that’s why I said talking dating each other to get to exclusivity then you’re in a relationship but if you can’t even cover the basics of just talking to that person and being with that person for a certain amount of time and you’re now totally with one another by yourself there’s no point

Dating/hanging out stage (usually this lasts a while for me because I don't jump into relationships unless I'm for sure 100 percent I have feelings for them beyond it being a crush)

Stages? I don't know about stages. There are events: first date, regularly dating, sexually intimate, agreeing to be exclusive, planning a wedding, marrying. Not all couples do all of these. Some may never want to marry.
