Like I hear some people say you will learn from this experience but in some ways it has made me put up more walls around myself and I will immediately question a women’s motives now

Yes. This is one thing women really don't seem to understand when it comes to relationships. Men are expected to do all the heavy lifting when it comes to relationships in terms of attracting a parter, continuing the effort. And the shouldering most the blame when things go wrong. All this makes it harder and harder to want to do it again when it all falls apart. And this is assuming he chooses a good partner to begin with which is never a guarantee as many women put on hide who they really are. Smart guys over time learn to take time and vet his partner. But then he loses out many times who have no interest in vetting her nor anything beyond a one night stand.

there's homeless veterans on the streets, kids being sex trafficked and wars all around the world and they can't think beyond abortion

FFS is abortion really more important than free speech? self-defense? preventing wars? preserving democracy? reducing famine? combating sex trafficking?

makes me realize the women in my family are actual unicorns all along

For the emotionally weak and immature, it can happen, but generalizing negative experiences to all women can be harmful and unfair to men and women equally.
