I had never dated prior to this point and I was 29 but it went so bad to where she was both physically and mentally abusive. Manipulative everyone around us turning them against me even though I was the one being abused some days I had suicidal ideations because I didn’t feel an actual way out

Yes it can be. Just have to understand that not all women are like this. But I will say this. I don’t know much about you, but in reading your posting you seem like you’re soft. I’m not trying to be disrespectful, but chances are you’re going to attract those same type of women who love that control, to be dominant over you.

A lot of men will say you are soft, but I feel like most men are exactly like this. They will let one girl from high school ruin their perspective of dating, and inhibit themselves from actually carrying a healthy relationship because they are scared.

Every guy (unless he geys lucky and hits a homerun on his first at bat) has that relationship at some point in his life with a manipulative woman that is his wake-up call to the depths of depravity that some women are capable of.

I know man, it sucks! But think long and hard on this. She gave you signs on what type of person she was. You just missed them. Learn from this! So it doesn't happen again.

Why do you have faith in people? Just take your time developing trust with people instead of giving blind faith. Women have more reasons to betray you (unless you're gay) so take even more time developing trust with them.

It's completely normal, and your feelings are valid. But don't let this one woman ruin your faith and skew your vision of all other women. Yes, what she did was absolutely horrible and you didn't deserve to have to go through that, but there are also amazing women out there that can treat you so much better, just believe in yourself I'm sure you will find the one for you!!
