What went wrong in human evolution for women to like men no good for them? How does that make evolutionary sense?

Crazy how women can’t make the right decision and find a good guy who treats them well.

It is rooted in instinct, one of the primary challenges of females in ancestral environments was to have a man that could protect her. This is because not only is she herself physically vulnerable by virtue of being small, but also during pregnancy and child rearing she is even more vulnerable. And so, those women who chose large or otherwise formidable men were the ones that did the best. There are other things that are more significant to humans, namely resource potential, but this particular instinct probably traces even deeper back into our prehuman hominid ancestors. Even in troops of chimpanzees and things like that, females prefer the larger or more dominating males. So, when girls do this without any consideration for the reasons they probably shouldn't, which is usually the case in so-called bad boy relationships, it just means that they're acting on their most basic instincts, which means you probably don't want to be with that woman anyway, really. Being highly instinctual like that is connected to also being impulsive which is also connected to being promiscuous and likely to be unfaithful once you do get into a dedicated relationship.

Nothing went wrong; it's functioning as intended. Natural selection doesn't care about YOU, it cares about your genes. Men who are vicious assholes are more likely to be underhanded enough to get abundant resources for their children, who are thus more likely to survive.

Evolution produces survivors. Not good people.

I have a Simple explanation, when a woman is around an evil person totally different from her, she cannot relate to him due to their difference and her inability to relate to him means she cannot assess his flaws and weaknesses early enough to prevent involvement with him. The detection comes after abuse has been established and even then, she might not foresee the full degree of his wickedness or might be so warped with psychological involvement she cannot build boundaries to repel him until the abuse endures to dangerous years.

Only the immature and toxic women do this. Women are attracted to confidence. Women that have no understanding of what true confidence will confuse false bravado for it.
