Do many women really like "bad boys"? Or is this just a silly stereotype about women made by men?

You might have heard about how "bad boys" are attractive. The "bad boy" archetype is basically about a guy who doesn't care about authority, is aggressive and domineering, etc. Do many women actually find this kind of personality attractive? Guys like that certainly do exist, I have met many such guys. But usually they are irresponsible and unable to find good employment and fulfill social duties. Obviously they cannot be good husbands or fathers. So it would seem counterintuitive to find such a personality attractive.

I feel that many attractive guys just happen to have the bad boy personality because it's supposed to be more masculine. And women are obviously attracted to physically attractive guys. So people think that girls like bullies and jerks. If an unattractive guy tried to behave like a bad boy, it wouldn't make him more attractive. It's not the bad boy personality itself that is inherently attractive.

Yea and I'm probably gonna get a lot of female hate but I've noticed women tell you they want one thing and chase the complete opposite, I've been both before, I was a bad person before I transformed to what I am today and I indeed have noticed that most women do chase "bad boys" it seems to be that they are attracted to it even tho they probably wish they weren't, don't mix them up tho cause being an assgole never works, I've seen many people with fake bad boy personas confuse it with aggression and that's only seen as a red flag but if you are asking if women see weakness in nice guys then I can assure you they do, i was far more respected and fantasized when I was commiting crime and hurting people, although I can say they only seem to be attracted to the idea of bad boys, not actual bad boys, they see masculinity in It, now I won't throw all women in the same pile cause they all have their own interests and can be enormously different but this stereotype formed cause many women see masculinity in men that aren't full nice guys I guess, something else I picked up in this is that usually the ones that are attracted to bad boys are bad quality women, the good ones know what they want and don't play games to get it and of course they know it's only worth investing your time in men that aren't shit, there's also a minority of women that like bad boys, know they are bad quality and still chase them, which again, only says bad quality.

There are two angles on why this is likely:

1. the first is that super attractive guys don't have to be nice, and being nice is a lot of energy and self work. They can instead just act like selfish shit bags, much like super attractive women can.

2. the second is that we're a very fightey species, very power hungry, and it's generally better to err on the side of being a dick than being a pushover. To toe that line perfectly would be the best strategy, always standing up for oneself and being a bit imposing but not oppressive. But it's impossible to get the balance perfect, so those who err towards imposing do better.

Anecdotally, the writing is on the wall. Women are more turned on by the shitty version of me that doesn't respect them. But I'm less happy with myself as that version, so I stopped doing it. It's definitely a turn off, pussy is clearly less wet, and the acts less depraved as a result. Women are tuned to warriors and dominators, it's what wins the game of evolution. It's also what oppresses them. Shit's broken yo.

In my personal experience girls who are into “bad boys” are usually girls who have a very difficult relationship with their fathers or they are just emotionally immature and in love with the toxic traits.

I have also noticed that the girls that are into “bad boys” lack in depth in terms of their social-emotional intelligence or are just very self-interested people who only look for the dopamine hit that they get from interacting with an unpredictable and erratic person.

nice bad boys yes, asshole bad boys no. the asshole type is more something some teen girls are into, dont think many people over the age of 16-17 want that unless they themselves are a bit fucked up and bitchy. though as you said that's only if they're at least kinda cute. though girls also really like nice guys too (if they're cute)

I think it is an overly simplistic way of looking at it but it is understandable why many come to that conclusion.

I think what makes "bad boys" so attractive to women is that they are disagreeable or not as likely to let someone walk all over them, especially their own girlfriend. It is a trait a lot of "bad boys" have but you can be a disagreeable person without resorting to crime or to even be a bad person.

This is also why a lot of guys who aren't bad people fail at relationships. They put the girl on a pedestal and act as if she can do no wrong and its not attractive. The problem is that our culture tells them that the key to getting a girlfriend is to not be an asshole but it's not that simple.

This is the origin of the classic complaint of "oh so it's like I am a machine where you put niceness in and sex comes out." It is an attempt to paint men as more entitled than they actually are when it is really them struggling to get companionship from the opposite sex using bad advice usually given to them by their mothers.

I think there are girls with low self esteem that might be attracted to somebody that dominates them. I went with a friend to visit a guy he went to high school with, This guy just got kicked out of the rmy and he really was a psycho. He had a girlfriend he was living with. She has a job as a nurse but she would come home to this guy and put up with his abuse. He had a lock on the telephone so she could not call anyone while he was at work. He was drinking vodka right out of the bottle and he had a bottle of pills his girlfriend stole from the hospital. He was eating them like they were M&Ms. He told us that when his old lady got home he was going to cut her up. I did not know what to think.
Finally the girlfriend shows up. . I had decided that I was going to stop him before he killed her. I watched this guy get out of his chair and stand up and take two steps and he fell over and passed out. His girlfriend seemed nice and she was not bad looking. I just did not get it.

I don't, and I think younger girls like them less because society is more accepting of nice guys. You'll notice that we tend to go after them for flings and one night stands, but for serious relationships and marriage, we end up with the nice guys. I think women on the whole tend to find them sexually attractive but not many would like a relationship with them, we look for men who are respectful, loyal, and kind for actual relationships. As for myself, I prefer nice guys for every context.

That is not how it is. So called bad boys are good looking, athletic, popular, and sometime rich guys that all women want. Since kindergarten, they have always be popular with girls. If they snap their fingers, the girls come running and when asked they drop the panties. Since girls are so available, they have little value and they don't treat women the way simps and other unattractive guys would. Therefore, they are call bad boys.

Bad boys have the surface asset of confidence but confidence without character means the relationship is doomed to fail or become some kind of barbaric sewer trap that only bad people will tolerate. Character opens many doors but it does not always open the first door of positive initial impressions.

It's more exciting than a good boy to be with. There's an element of danger. Of course the bad boy isn't an ideal partner unless he changes. That's the hope if women who go after bad boys. They're exciting in the beginning and if they change into a good guy with you, you found a husband. The problem is that guys generally don't change much. If we're a bad boy, chances are that we'll remain that way. No woman is so good for us that we'll do a complete 180 for her. I don't think anyone is.

Bad boys are to women what promiscuous women are to men. They are essentially carricatures of the traits men and women find most sexually attractve in each other. Some men/women will indulge in casual sexual relationships with those types, but they have no value for serious relationships / marriage.
