Why don't male dorks want female dorks?

Question

A male dork happens to sit next to a female dork in a waiting room, but he doesn't get as hopeful and excited as she does about the possibility of getting a date. He's just sitting there casually, and she's looking at him smiling and looking eager to talk. And this girl would still want him even if he didn't have a job, and she is a quiet and peaceful person to be around. Please tell me why he lets her get away!!

There are multiple possible answers to you question.

The first being that the male dork is not interested in the female dork or that she is not the type of dork that he seeks.

A dork, by definition, would be

"an odd, socially awkward, unstylish person".

You can be a dork and still have a minimum of IQ and realize that the female dork is not the right person for him. Also, the male dork could already be in a relationship and is not attracted by the female.

He could also have some standards, even if others consider him to be odd and socially awkward or unstylish. Unstylish does not mean devoid of intelligence.

Most guys want waaayyy out of their league so they won't settle for a dork even if that's all they can get. They will stay single for 35 years then go on a mass shooting because "no one loved them and girls thought they were better than him."

Maybe he doesn't realise that she sees it as an opportunity for a date.

I think there are a lot of guys that be interested in girls with similar interests/hobbies. Even if they are geeky or whatever.

But sometimes if girls do "hints" and stuff, guys don't necessarily get it.
Maybe he thinks she's just being nice or something.
Many times it would be better if girls where more direct with guys instead of playing guessing games.
A lot of guys aren't mind readers.

Because he's not attracted to her... Just because two people are similar doesn't mean they have to like each other. Maybe he likes alt girls, or maybe he's gay or taken. Every one has their own tastes.

No one truly settles. Those who do so often do it for outside reasons not personal choice

The ideal would be for dorks of sny gender to put in some work to transition into being less dorky.
Not necessarily change their whole personality. But demonstrate some attractive values like perseverance and responsibility and self love. That kind of thing

I don't think that it's fair to differentiate dorks like they are in a different class of people.
When it comes to asking a complete stranger out on a date the people that you referred to as "dorks" are no different than any other people.

This has not been my experience. Most male dorks I’ve known love female dorks and will happily ask them out if they can overcome their own shyness (the guy in your question may be shy). It’s usually the female dorks who are not interested, not because they all only want hot guys but because a lot of female dorks are not interested in dating in general or are interested only in one specific person.
