Would you date someone who retired at 50?

I sought the F. I. R. E. method since I was 30. And I invested heavily since my mid 20's. I get that retirement age is 67 but the avg. person actually retires at 61. And my goal was always to retire by 60. But with each passing year it has become more apparent that I'll have enough to retire at 50. I might still keep working part time for Healthcare since it's the only major expense I have as my house is paid off.

The problem I'm running into is so few women are in the same boat as me and don't seem to relate. If you aren't retirement age would you see a guy who retired early as a turn off?

I'm a medical student, so I would only associate with another female doctor.

That's understandable. I can understand you only wanting to date someone who fit your life's work.

As long as he has enough money on, I don’t see any problem. Retire early, get more time to spend with.

What is enough money? I mean clearly it's enough for me. This is one of the reasons I said part time. It's funny when you're young how the goal is retirement. But as you get older it becomes less about retirement and more about just living how you choose. I have enough for me now that I can retire. But I'm not sure I'll ever be able to fully stop.

I wouldn't care if someone's retired but I wouldn't date a 50 year old.

I would hope not. He'd be almost twice your age.😂
