I downloaded a dating app and got zero matches. Should I just be more patient or are these apps a waste of time?

People say that girls are on there for validation and attention.
Some girls even have their OF information there.

And others say girls are very picky on there. You’d have to be a very handsome guy to get matches.

They’re either frustrated they failed

Dating apps work just fine
They’re not a magic bullet. They won’t spawn a girlfriend for you out of thin air

First: your profile.
You need good pictures. Not lazy selfies or any group photos where you look short or fat or creepy
You workout just enough to have an average build (the stronger the better of course)
You get a nice haircut, a beard trim if you have one
You get some men’s fashion tips and dress yourself in clothes that blend in color and compliment your build (honestly a black T-shirt rarely fails)
You get some good high quality photos either by a professional or by a friend of yours who understands a bit about lighting and angles.
You use photoshop to redo the coloring and photo quality
And you post around 5 pics of yourself doing various things
(A standing profile shot, a picture of you having a drink, a picture of you playing with a dog, a picture of you doing any kind of activity, etc…)


It looks like a lot but really it’s basic things any adult should be aiming for, dating apps or not


Second: your texting
It won’t be enough to have good pictures if all you can text is “hi”, “how are you”
It’s boring and women don’t reply to boring
You need to work on your conversation skills and develop charismatic tendencies
That only happens through practice both in text and in real life
You need to go out more and talk to as many people as you can. Practice flirting making jokes being witty without sounding like you’re trying too hard
Very quickly you’ll figure out how it works and then you can just have conversation and turn matches into dates and later into whatever you want them to become


All this sounds daunting at first but it’s stuff all guys eventually have to do and it’s not as hard once you start.
The alternative is being all alone forever constantly complaining about how you’re not enough

Only about 5% of women's profiles are dateable women. It's up to you whether you think that's a waste of time.

The BEST advice I can give is do not waste your time messaging women. There are simply to many catfish and scammers out there. It's been my experience that if a woman is truly interested. She will message you.

I'm not a handsome guy, I get matches. IMHO it's less how you look and more the story you pics tell. Your pics are pretty critical.

It's according to how long you've been on the app. And what are the reviews for this app and what are you looking for.

If you've been on it for months and gotten no bites, might be the wrong site for you. And review what you've put on your profile too. ALSO, read other profiles on the site for people your age. Is your profile in line with theirs?

Remember, you're paying money at get matches. If it's been too long, something isn't right. And a good site checks up on members and helps them get matches.

I would love to know how many people really match and are successful on meeting through dating apps. I would speculate the number is incredibly low but I could be wrong
