Should I give someone a second chance who burned me?

My crush burned me with a hookup that he wanted but the day we were supposed to meet he deleted me and didn’t talk to me after. Ghosted. Now he’s back and wants to meet again, should I give him a second chance?

Let’s put it like this. That person burned you “ “ and you lost a hand. Now you’re asking us (with one hand, figuratively speaking), if you should give him the chance to be near you, meanwhile he’s the type that carries that same tool (“the lighter”). You have one hand and should take it seriously. You’re really willing to just give him that chance? He has two you have one?

I say no. He wasted his chance and he doesn’t care for you. Also who hurts someone that bad (as you described it in your question), by ACCIDENT?

People deserve second chances but not like this. Maybe if you meet him in five years and he apologizes and talks about how he’s changed, you could give him a second chance then but at this point the only way would be with a really good apology and explanation. Unless he is offering those and it sounds like he is not, I would just move on. JMO!

But if you didn't learn anything, then of course, you're going to give him A. Second chance because at the same time you need a second chance to learn what you missed on the first go around if you didn't learn any thing

I would advise no BUT you may still harbour feelings for them. However, the warning is whether or not they had a legitimate and believable reason to do what they did before. If you accept this then will they be truthful and commit to you? Once bitten twice shy is something you could take into this interaction

My definition of getting burned usually means they gave me a STI or a STD, but I'm guessing he just ghosted you to bang some other chick and now he's back. If you entertain this bullshit you're probably going to find out why I have a different definition of what getting burned means.
