Have you ever used a professional matchmaker to try to find a significant other? What was it like and how did it go?

Yes, it was a complete waste of time and money. I told her that I was allergic to cats and dogs; and half the people she tried to set me up with were dog owners and a third were cat owners. I also told her that I wanted kids, but she thought I should date people who were 35 and older. Despite the fact that I explained how it wasn't a good idea to date women close to 40 if you want kids. One of the women who I did go on a date with had a histerectomy and just had a kid via a surrogate.

It sounds fun haha. But nah I never have done that before. My friends would just wanna hooked me up with their friends, but that was always a bad idea because we aren't compatible and it gets awk.

My friends have known me for 20 years any do not know what I want in a guy, I doubt a matchmaker can give me a compatible person after 3 interviews.

Lol. No, but I have a friend who claims to be “4th generation match maker” and brags about it all the time. It’s a big company now, actually, but no one in our circle wants to go bc she’s obnoxious about it.

I’ll match people I know once in a blue moon bc I see their personalities would legit be cute together and their values match up. It’s very rare so my track record is on point, but I don’t strut around telling people “these two wouldn’t be together if it wasn’t for me”.

No, and I´d only want someone who knows me to be my matchmaker. I have some female friends that I have known 25 and even 30 years, They´d be my choice to play matchmaker.

Generally always end very badly, in the late 90s and early 2000s they were the whole Ukrainian / Russian woman mail order bride it always ended badly with the man getting all his money stole or getting kidded for the ihneriantce or the woman using the man money to bring back her boyfriend from back home in the country, etc... never a good idea. It's generally big scam.
