I still have a crush on him, what do I do?

So, I met someone almost a month ago. He kind of became my mentor for gaming. We're both in a gaming server, and I'd interact with him a little each day, but I didn't really talk to him in private. I tried to last week, but I assumed he wasn't interested in talking to me since the conversations were always short. (I found out today they were short because I wasn't continuing them, and he actually likes talking to people.) On top of that, I felt like I'd never be good enough since my confidence is always low, and finally, we just met. I tried to force myself to stop liking him. I told myself he wasn't interested. But I still tried to talk to him to at least get comfortable being around him because we're meeting up in August to compete in a tournament together. We just so happened to be going to the same one and agreed to be partners for the event. But after talking to him more today, I realize I still like him. What do I even do?

I pulled a big brain move. So, we talk on discord, and im getting another phone today specifically for my online friends. I figured if he turns down my number, he probably doesn't like me, but if he likes me, he'll accept my phone number even though we already have each other's socials. HE SAID YES!!!
I was worried because my friend tried to ask him what he thought of me and my crush said he was keeping that to himself.
