My dad was given a tainted vaccine when he was 9 months old, it caused him to get operated in his left leg and left it without any muscle. And him with a limp
He met my mom when he was 33 and they decided to get married
People told her “he’s an invalid”
She said “I could pick a perfectly fit man and have him get hit by a car 2 years later. I would end up with an invalid anyway. Still wouldn’t change a thing”
They’ve been married for 29 years
Just going by my own parents example I don’t think it’s fair to walk way if someone is faced with disability.
The person underneath the body is the one worth (or not worth) loving
everyone is different. I knew somebody who was a champion bodybuilder. He had been married for about 6 months and he was out running one night and was hit by a car. It left him paralyzed from the waist down and he sustained a little brain damage too. His wife left him a few months later. She said it was not what she signed up for. This poor guy never got over it.
I do not think I could do that. I took the whole "death us do part" thing pretty literally.
She married ex marine once he left the hospital after his horrific injury but left him a year later.
Dude looks like a monster though.

its a bad beat for sure but love is looking past an injury.
This isn't a simple yes or no answer. You didn't specify MARRIED but in my mind that what I'm assuming, and those vows have meaning. But sometimes you can have all the right intentions in the world and it still turns our bad. Because the assumption is that someone suffers a horrific accident and then their partner falls out of love with them. But it could just as easily be that some suffers a horrific accident and then THEY become a completely different person. Maybe they chase their partner away or maybe full of shame, self loathing, or disgust ask there partner to find someone else.
I'm not excusing or justifying Any behavior. I'm simply saying that is a perfect world somebody makes a vow and sticks to it. But we don't live in a perfect world.
