and it makes me uncomfortable. Especially how he kinda brushed it off like normal things when clearly didn’t it sit right with me seeing some random girl following him and then noticing he followed her back a few days later. Just when I believe we have something solid, something aligned and pure and honest. I never met these people, but I feel so outside of it because of our LDR. I feel like I am kept apart. I just wished he was more transparent, he knows these things bother me and one of the things that were a green flag to me was the fact he wasn’t paying so much attention to social media. To me, it’s a breach of personal boundaries.

Whether it is normal or not is not up to us to judge. Suffice to say that if you have told him that him following girls on social media puts you ill at ease should be enough for him to refrain from doing it. Now, he could do it and not tell you anything about it and your world would be alright.

It seems that you have a lack of confidence about your partner and that is not really a good start in any relationship.

Talk about your issues with him and if he dismisses them, then you know he is not the right one for you since he prioritizes other people over you.

I’m the exact same way Abby, but this comes with peace of mind and also having healed any BS from the past. Asker was most likely done wrong by someone in the past, and rather than take time to heal the trauma, instead the next guy gets to pay for what some other guy did and it’s just not cool. She’s keeping tabs on his friends list, creating issues over such insignificant shit.
