Would you be flattered or annoyed if your date shared your cake at work?

It was really so good, I couldn’t help but show off… Because everyone at work knows I am not big of a cook 😁

So, I took it today and shared each and everyone of them a piece of cake. They LOVED! Asked me who baked it, how great the balance of the taste and texture was and how they have never tried a cake this delicious.

Even my grumpy coworker loved it and told me it’s really so delicious! Just perfect!

I felt so proud hehe 😎 I immediately texted him and told him about me and he asked me what kind of cake should he bake me next? 🥰

Would you guys feel happy for that or would you want me to keep it all to myself? Haha

Might be unclear - He baked a cake for me, and brought it to me on a date. I took it and shared with my coworkers because I was happy.

I would be flattered that you thought it was good enough to share with your coworkers and glad that you didn't just share it to get rid of it.

I misread the post. I thought you brought a cake to work and your coworker was casually handing it out to people on your off day or something lol.

That said, I know there'd be a part of me saying "did they share the cake because they didn't like it?"

But I think just as quickly I'd realize if they (my SO) told me about it it's signaling they were proud of it.

I get the feeling that you make a cake you make it thinking of someone and then they share it. It's kinda like on the surface it might feel like your efforts and love are being diverted to other strangers. But how many times have I been given food by someone who was like "you gotta try this (whatever it was) my girl/boyfriend made. Aren't they the best?"

Which is so wholesome right? So maybe a little annoying depending on the situation in the beginning but I think I'd focus more on the image of my SO sort of bragging about me. I'd allow myself to feel good about it.

I didn’t talk about him. I told them my friend baked it… They asked me if it’s a male friend or a female friend… I said “man” and they complimented his cake a lot. They asked me some questions but I answered “We’ll see”
