So I (22F) matched with a guy (29M) last year. He got out of a 2-year relationship with a girl who was a lawyer. He ended things, weren't in touch with her. This guy works in IT, has a remote job (works from his home), has his own pretty apartment in the city centre (we live in the capital city of my country), he works out, lives a comfortable lifestyle, earns a lot, has a cat. He seems perfect, is extremely handsome - he just doesn't look real, at first I thought he was a fake, he has the most perfect face I've ever seen.
He has ADHD, takes antidepressants and sleeping pills. He wasted his university years on being depressed, he didn't make any friends, didn't go out - nothing. He has been in around 4/5 relationships which lasted 2 years maximum - he was always the one to break up. Right now he doesn't have ANY friends. He just sits at home alone all day.
When we were dating I was feeling tired because he treated me as some kind of nanny - he wanted to meet with me every single day, always wanted to talk - which was hard for me, I study medicine and also I need some alone time.
He tried reconnecting with me after a few months later, says he's super lonely, goes to therapy and wants to meet, go somewhere with me. I've been ignoring him but he doesn't stop begging me. I don't get it - he's handsome, rich, dresses well, has a nice apartment, stable job - he has everything yet he's such a 'loser'.
You'd think that a person like that can have any girl he wants, do any activity, travel etc yet he's venting about how sad he is to a girl who is 8 years younger than him. I have nothing, I'm a broke medicine student living in a small room with flatmates, I don't have a job. What is his problem?
