Is it a red flag if he’s never free on Saturday nights, or am I overthinking?

So, as my date didn’t confirm our 4th date last Sunday, because he forgot that he told me he would confirm it and assumed we already had it confirmed, I went traveling.

He assumed we were meeting on Sunday, then asked me out for the next day (Monday) to apologize for his mistake, but I was traveling the next day too.

I did that because last Saturday even though he was in my city, where he usually isn’t, he didn’t text me from 7PM to 11PM which he usually doesn’t do. And I assumed he was on another date.

Today he told me that we need to talk about when we meet again, I told him I am free on Saturday evening and Monday evening. I’m not really free on Saturday evening just told him to check if he would take that day instead of Monday.

And he said “I am still not sure if I am available on Saturday, but I am free on Monday and we should meet for sure.”

I don’t want to think he saves that spot for someone else and just keeps me for another day… But I also don’t know maybe I am overthinking it and it’s too early to be expecting anything more from someone I am just going on 4th date to and who I have known for a month?

Last Saturday he said he might still be working, but I found it suspicious that he was in my city, and didn’t send a picture, he usually sends me photos from work.

Update - I told him I have a full day off on Thursday so that we could meet each other earlier to spend more time together and he said he’ll try his best to take a day off on Thursday too, so we can be together. That’s sweet!

I don't know about red flags, but I assume that if you're going on a 4th date, both your intentions and his should be clear by now.

I think the mistake we all make is thinking that our partner or would-be partner is available 24/7. We all have a personal life, things to do, people to visit. We can't be always there, or able to answer a call or message.

Stop overthinking, stop overanalyzing, just go for it. You like him? You should be kissing him right now LOL.

It seems that this guy is not really interested in you and just wants to keep on his backburner, just in case his other date is not available for what he has in mind.

Whether it is a red flag or not is up to you to judge and not to us since we don't know that guy and don't know how he ticks otherwise.

Obviously, you and him are not meant to be in a long lasting relationship (10+ years) anyway but more to have temporary "fun". It is more of a "fire and forget".

I would not pursue that relationship as it clearly leads nowhere.

from my perspective... a red flag has to be absolute and clearly flagrant, lol

you suspect he could be with other women, and while that is definitely a possibility, it is not a sure thing, lol... and also the possibilities are kind of infinite so maybe you're just overthinking

When a guy really likes a girl , he will make time for her no matter what , even if he is working that day , he will call her and want to see her as soon as possible , when a guy doesn’t do that, he is dating other girls’ or seeing someone else as well. I used to get them to have phone calls on Saturdays around dinner time. If they can't do it plus not able to meet on Saturdays... it's def. red flag.
