I’m 33, told I’m pretty, so why do guys never ask me out?

So the thing is I know I'm not bad to look at face-wise.

Am I the most beautiful? I don't know about that that would be for someone else to answer.

I'd describe my looks as pretty in more of an elegant kind of way.

But not really asked out by guys. Why? Is it the age thing? I don't really look my age - I'm 33.

By nature I am not really flirty at all.

The culture is changing. Women have been bashing men for approaching them for too long to ignore it, and many men are sitting in jail because they didn’t pick up on the subtler signs of rejection. Intelligent, self respecting dudes aren’t playing that game anymore. Even if a guy did ask you out, you probably wouldn’t like him.
If you like a guy, ask him out. More than likely he will pick up the ball and run with it if you simply make it perfectly clear that you’re interested.

Feminism and me too made it to dangerous for guys. So a lot of them just do not approach girls they like since there is a chance she is crazy and files harrasment charges and stuff which are then automatically believed. That is already significantly going to cut down the number of guys.

Frankly at 33 you are also at the very high end of what I consider datable for people younger who want kids. Its one of those ages close to 35 where you still have 2 years to get to know each other before wanting kids. Older than that it will feel like you have to rush. So its time for you to start approaching yourself because this will get significantly worse, because older men will assume you are taken at that age and won't approach, and the 20-30 year olds won't consider you appealing.

Some are not attracted to you, as no one is everyone's type. Others are too scared because they think you're out of their league. The same with me. There does seem to be a connection between good looks and getting rejected more than the plainer girls. I'd put it down to intimidation in many cases.

Actually there are a LOT of thirty somethings who haven't married.

Will ALL of them stay single forever? I highly doubt that.

I used to think people who are let's say 34 (men) would prefer dating like a 25 year old - again in real life rarely does that actually happen.

It happens with celebrities etc. but i don't know a single person who has that much of an age gap.

Am I saying I am COMPLETELY unaware that my age can be used against me? No. To say that 'good quality men have NO interest' is a hyperbole.

Also - women don't want children in their early thirties anymore - why would they? Unlike men women are the ones who have to take care of the child bring up the child devote their life to the kid.

To want to have it older isn't wrong at all.

I wonder though if I may end up having one kid instead of two because I would rather wait to have kids.

Well if you're "really" pretty and you aren't just saying it, then obviously: your issue is your character. Or it's the way you carry yourself. I mean there's some other variables but that's where i'd start investigating if I was you.

Especially in 2026. More than 80% of your viable eggs are gone. The odds of getting pregnant at 40 is less than 15% every month until pre menopause starts. Some times as early as 43. Like I said. If they spent any time to get to know you, yous had one kid, waited 3 years, the next kid has like a 25% of downs even if you COULD get pregnant. Its science. Trust the science. You should be married and have had one or two kids before 27 to be honest.
