Do kisses on the cheek mean anything nowadays?

I met this girl 2 years ago in school, we were in the same class. We would only talk to one another when walking to our next class. Okay, so I haven't seen her for 2 years now and one week ago, I had a friend's party to go to and to my amazement, this girl I haven't seen for 2 years was there too. So long story short, she was kinda drunk and same with me, she asked me to dance and held my hand and then later at the end of the night kissed me on the cheek. I kissed her back on the cheek and asked her for her number. The next day I texted her to see how she was and it's been about a week now and no reply. Was she playing me? Does kissing even mean anything nowadays? hand holding? Or was she just too plain drunk to understand what was going on? Girls, do you get so drunk that you don't know what you're doing? I mean you girls GOTTA have an idea of what you're doing even if you're hammered... right? Kinda confused here... Any opinions?

Ya ya, everyone knows the excuse, " I was drunk"- but in reality UNLESS you are on the floor unconscious, you know what you are doing. Its once the alcohol has been consumed will girls begin to take their plans in action. We know what we want, and most girls know how to get it. In this case, the girl, knew what she was doing. In my opinion she wanted to just hook up with you, especially if she was drunk and flirty and horny ( quite common). But she's smart, I think she was just waiting for you to make the move and just kiss her. Although girls know what they want, very few of them will actually go all the way, its subtle things like...handholding or dancing that show that one is interested.

Perhaps once she received your text, she may have just chosen to ignore it because the entire exchange occured at a party while intoxicated...

my advice, next time you two see eachother, be more forward..

Cheek kisses don't mean anything. You should have kissed on her properly. They don't say hand holding leads to sex for no reason.
