Every year around 1.5 million women are abused by their partner. Can anyone guess how many men are abused by their wife or girlfriend? Over 835,000, yes one man is abused every 38 seconds. Do we have any programs oriented for us compared to the hundreds of things for abuse of women, the billions spent against violence directed against women? No, we have little to nothing.

This doesn't downplay that women are abused, but it shows equality in that women abuse men too. The only difference is that you don't hear about it as a guy should "tough it out" when he is abused or he isn't "man enough."

Unlike women however who get 2.8 billion a year in federal aid to women's shelters, counseling centers, hotlines, etc. men have nothing specifically geared to their needs as battered men. To even suggest so will have most feminists jump down y our throat as it affects their "piece of the pie" for federal aid or will call it chauvinism to an extreme.

University studies have shown that approximately 30% of women admitted to physically abusing their partners repeatedly. That is how many ADMIT to doing it. The most cited reasons were "I didn't think it would hurt him," "he wasn't sensitive to my needs," and "I wanted to get his attention." So guys, next time a girl says something, listen, or she might just whack you a good one.

There was a case of a man in Texas who was thrown in jail by 5 officers for "abusing" his wife by pinning her to the floor after she had stabbed him 5 times with a knife (he called the police in the first place).

The legal bias against battered men is largely inherent in the system. A man will rarely file charges and even more rarely will the police do anything about it. The worst of it is if, as men, we DEFEND ourselves against the women WE become the ABUSER in the eyes of the law and her the victim.

So guys, this one is for you, feel free to be anonymous as this will likely get some flack from the ladies, but describe any time you've been hit or abused by your girlfriend/spouse. This also includes verbal or emotional abuse as well.

Yes women, your words can hurt us just as much as us calling you nasty things can hurt you.

Women, feel free to tell about how you have abused your men or how you know of a girlfriend who has done so.

If you are texting back and forth with a guy should he end the conversation?

What about as it get's later in the night? Also, how late would you reply to a text from a guy or girl?

I spoke to someone recently who said that one non-negotiable factor when dating is that the other person must have all their limbs intact.

Although that statement may appear shallow, the person who said it is not.

It will be Interesting to see how many people share the same view.

Imagine living with a guy who's same age as you. Sometimes he acts like an adult (do romantic stuffs) and sometimes he acts like a kid (jokes around to make you happy).

How do you feel about dating a guy like that? And if you were to date him, would you treat him like a kid, as in someone you can't look up to, someone you can't follow as a guide in life? Also, if you fell in love with him, would you marry him? Does maturity really matters?

I mean it doesn't really matter as long as it's fun living with him, agree? Do comment!

P.s. Frankly, it's not about me. :D I asked because I met a guy who said girls don't respect guys same age as them and treat them like kids

Growing up I've always had a height advantage over other people and it seemed more of a burden than a blessing in my youth. Now that I've matured I realize the benefit of being tall. But I don't really understand how much it helps. Guys that are average height always wish that they're taller and it seemed weird to me that they think height would cure all their problems. I'm 6'3 and I've never thought to myself, hey I sure am glad I'm tall or this girl would never have talked to me. I've always found personality mattered most. I'd easily give up 3 inches of height to make myself a more interesting person.

And ladies, what is too tall or too short?

I was just thinking about this...

I can see why women would think that men have become more cowardly, because so many men today are spineless -- just want sex, don't want to risk a relationship, don't want to bother asking a girl out, etc.

But I also see women being a lot more cowardly than ever before. I give an analogy to dancing...

In dancing, the man commonly takes the lead but the woman also actively follows. She's not passive. She anticipates what comes next, so she is ready. For dancing to work, both people have to take it seriously.

But today, when it comes to dating, flirting and relationships, women understand that men are supposed to take the lead. But what they don't understand is that they also have an important role...

They think that it's OK to just stand in the background, and let the man dance by himself...like he's putting on a show for them. They think that it's enough to just stand still and occasionally clap to give encouragement or look the other way to show boredom, but not really participate.

So who is has become worse...men or women?

I know most people say "I don't think he cares about himself blah blah blah" but I'm just wondering if any girls actually would give the guy a chance. He may have an amazing personality you know. I understand if you find it just disgusting. I don't see why you wouldn't.

I am an obese guy and I want to lose weight but I can't stand exercise and the horrible feeling I get from it. So I'm worried I'm destined to be alone.
