pick her up as a hug when we are doing that. I do it because I like to hold her close/tight & she hugs me tight too which makes me feel good

Part of what confuses me, my boyfriends have always been close to my height, I'm not exactly short and I live in heels.

I'm not exactly short and my boyfriends usually are about/close to my height. So I'm going to say it doesn't have much to do with height... more with muscle/preference?

The few guys I dated were shorter than me, regardless of wether they could lift me up it would probably look awkward. They were pretty strong, so I guess they simply never thought about it :)
