With September around the corner, a lot of people begin to prepare for school, but the newcomers often are in a dilemma what to take to school.
Bags

Unlike guys, us girls tend to take handbags to school rather than backpacks or messenger bags
Stationery
A stationery addict myself, I can understand the excitement when it comes to shopping for new stationery!
Pencil cases

Sometimes while in a rush, you tend to forget to grab a pen before rushing out of the door. Hence a pencil case ensures, you don't have to ask for a pen, especially in a exam!
Pens
Having the right pen is really important. Some girls like comfort grip, others like something girly or a ballpoint/fountain pen.

I love these pens. Not only are they comfortable to write with but if you make a mistake, you can rub it out without ripping out the page! Amazon sells these at a reasonable price.
Erasers
Some people prefer writing in pencil, thus if they make a mistake, an eraser comes in handy to rub out the mistakes.

Rulers and pencils

Highlighters
If you're stepping into your GCSE or junior grade in US terms then this piece of stationery is a must. Since you will be reading a lot of texts and highlighting the important information. Plus at that age, teachers expect you to come prepared to class!

Binders

Amazon often have great deals on binders and at reasonable prices
Notebooks
Some people like to keep one notebook for all subjects. Personally I recommend having one for each subject, and in different colours. That way you won't get them mixed up!

Planner/Diary

If you're old school like me and prefer carrying a diary to record your stuff in. Its a great way to ensure you have noted down all the dates for different deadlines.
^WH Smith is a great place to shop for when it comes to stationery and often it has sales on just before September. So you get a little bargain too!
USB
I can't stress the importance of these. Its a must have, especially as you go into junior grade (or in UK terms your GCSE years). They are convenient to back up your work in.

If you live in the UK then definitely checkout PC World, they often have great deals on pendrives/usb's.
Tampons/Pads
You never know when mother nature knocks on your door. Thus always carry at least one or two of these. The most embarrassing thing that can happen is when you start them randomly and have to go ask for a tampon.
Every girl is different and feel comfortable in different things. Personally I prefer the pads since they are more comfortable.
Perfume/Deodrant

Best to carry something expensive and of good quality, it'll last longer and if you have gym/PE on that day then you'll definitely need it.
Hairbrush

Allows you to do a quick fix since we all have bad hair days!
Water bottle

If you're carrying a watter bottle around then you are likely to take a sip out of it. Perfect for staying hydrated.
