I was very young probably the age of 15 and I needed some income to help my mom out because she is a hardworking single mom. And thank god I was blessed, a neighbour that lived next to us had a very cute restaurant in the middle of the city of pairs.
The restaurant had a good amount of inside tourism lol, and my mom and the neighbor were very good friends; and she knew that I needed a job to help my mom out. So me and the neighbor decided to surprise my mom and hired me. My mom was so proud of me and kissed me on the forehead :)

It was working at a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut a good two hours away from where I lived. It was easily one of the worst jobs of my life. It was the year Taco Bell first introduced the Crunchwrap and made a huge deal out of it, at my location. And they would throw away SO much good, perfectly disposable food because of some BS "expiration" mandate and did not give away any of the food, at all. I was thinking of quitting the job six weeks in, but they found out I was never throwing away any of the food and instead, saving it to give away to friends or eat myself when I got home, and they fired me for it. Later the manager got arrested when they found out she was stealing money from the restaurant, so there was just all kinds of crap going on there.
I was a temp at Enron. My aunt used to work there and got me the job. Even as a temp I had to sign a pile of NDA's, and had this intense keycard that only allowed me access to certain floors of the building. The card also had a green, yellow, red light function that activated when you went through security at the front. I asked the guard what happens when it turns red, and he just shrugged and said, it's not good. I also remember being fascinated by being in a building that required me to take 2 sets of elevators to get to the 33rd floor where I was working. I actually enjoyed the job. I guess they were used to temps that kind of sucked, but I was determined to do well so I made it my goal to finish my work super fast. This apparently turned out to mean, I could just screw around until the end of my shift which was pretty awesome. Luckily my aunt left Enron well before everything blew up but it's still weird to think I worked there for a while.
My first job was as a life guard and a swim instructor when I was 16 years old. I also ran timing systems for swim meets. At 18 I got a job selling cars at a car dealership.
I suppose you could say my first was selling my grandmother's Christmas and Easter candy door to door and at school.
As for my first actual job, washing dishes at a restaurant. I was being too fastedious so, they fired me after 2 days. I'll never shit in THEIR electric dishwasher again!!When I was 15 or 16 I worked at a hobby store after school, I worked on a maintenance truck in the oilfield on the weekends, and I worked on a honeybee farm one summer during the break.
