Based on experience, what seems more practical?
Should I work as a bartender for one year in Amsterdam or begin my studies abroad?

Based on experience, what seems more practical?
Have you ever been to the Red Light District in Amsterdam?
Its kind of a scuzzy place. It gets suuuuuper sketchy late at night. All the tourists and people have gone home and no one is out but dealers and junkies.
Personally I’d rather study abroad. Amsterdam from what I saw of the city itself seemed cool. I went to the Van Gogh museum. People bike everywhere in that city it seems.
Either way, you’re a very, very lucky person. Most people don’t have these opportunities. I had to join the military and go to war to travel overseas.
Life is a experience you need to experience it and whichever way you want to it's your choice it's your life and what you get out of it is what you put into it just like everything else they say you can't take it with you well I say bologna I think you take with you every single one of your experiences that makes you grow and become a bigger better person you have to experience something before you can understand it the choice is all yours we choose who we want to be by the things we say and do
Go to school abroad and be a bartender on the side while you’re in that location.
Won’t this affect your relationship with your narcissistic boyfriend?

I would always be careful with 'gap years' because it is very easy to have your head turned by something (or sometimes someone)
I personally got my studies out of the way as quickly as possible, and then did the fun bit afterwards. I would definitely recommend it.
Nothing wrong with being a bartender but I think being a prostitute is immoral. Long as you ain’t doing that. Then go for it.
if you don’t like it or hate it. Then you can put in a two weeks notice and work as hard as you can until then. That makes you looo better to future employers
Seems like you know the job and what to expect and since you know it's a holiday destination where people come to do drugs in the redlight district, I assume you know how things work already.
So ultimately, you are asking whether to have fun for a year or not. It might not be very beneficial for your career, but nothing wrong with going for some fun.
If you are growing personally then I say do whatever but if you aren't growing go back to school sooner
Try to do both in Amsterdam. If you can’t, then look at which will benefit you more 10 years from now and which will offer more stability
Well you should take that offer to study abroad. Money is really important. Studying would offer you better jobs.
The longer you are away from the classroom the harder it will be to go back.
School now.
There will always be a need for bartenders.
Did you get into the Netherlands Holland so far or will you hear from others soon?
And yes if you want to
Attend bar in Amsterdam and also enroll in a college there
I’d say go for higher studies. Only if you’re in dire need of money then you could be a bartender but I’d say it’d be a waste of a good year.
contract jobs suck I'll be honest
Work a year then school
School. How's your boyfriend feeling About it?
Which is more important for your future plan?
Can’t do both?
Begin studies abroad
