Will my job fire me for not coming to work on my day off?

I put it like this:
if you're GOOD in your job, then your ''boss'' needs to figure it out - because you're 'absent' ... and nothing goes well.
If that isn't the case - then you are 'disposable'.
Don't count on ''rights'' or ''morals'' in work life. Unfortunately, ''business'' has become quite inhumane'' (I don't like it - but that's the way it is).
You need to draw a line. Tell the boss you are not available on the days you want off. Depending on where you live, there's laws that say you are not required to work on unscheduled days or they have to give you 48 hours notice of a schedule change (unless you signed an employment contract that waives those employee rights).

It's best to suck it up and go to work.
Yes it sucks, but welcome to adulthood.
My longest stint was 63 says straight without a day off.
No biggie.
Generally one is not required to come in on their days off, they will go down a list of people that are off and try to fill the shift until they find one that will.
time to push for a raise.
if none comes, look for work elsewhere.
Depends on what you signed when you were hired.
