New photographer but can’t find any models. Help?

I’ve been wanting to get into portrait photography for awhile now. However, none of my friends want their pictures taken so I tried reaching out to some models and modeling agencies through Instagram and emailed them.

Mind you, I’ve been sending emails for about a month now to different models/agencies and haven’t gotten any responses.

I do have proof of work of someone who I took pictures of from a year or 2 ago but I feel like it’s not enough.

I’m respectful in my emails, I get straight to the point, I tell them that I’m new and looking around for anyone who wants to work with me etc.

Lately I’ve been feeling really discouraged and thought about selling my camera and forget about it.

But I really wanna practice more on angles and lighting, but how can I do that if nobody will give me a chance? Regardless if they’re a professional model or an amateur.

I also think I’m getting ignored because they see how low my follower count is (under 100) and don’t want nothing to do with me.

And I get people have packed schedules, and other things are going on, but it’s been over a month and not one reply from any of them.
