Im watching my show and there's a huge fire and the guy says “You have to go back for Gladys”. So my guy runs back in for the cat and comes out. The dude is like “thats not Gladys”. Lmao turns out Gladys is his wife who is sadly deaf so she can't hear her name being called out but the cat jumped into his arms as if that was his fckin name because he doesn't wanna die either 😭💀 #FeelFreeToList #iAintBoutDatLife
Depends on the fire. If it's too bad, you have to give things up sometimes.
!! Don't read the following if you don't want the mood ruined!! My dad was involved in a car accident as a third party and rescued a kid and a mother out of a burning car. Unfortunately there was also a baby in the car. He went back, but the baby was stuck. He kept trying to get the baby out until his arms were burned and he's never had eyebrows since, but unfortunately he couldn't get the baby loose. The mother reacted as you would expect, blaming my dad for the baby's death. He says he never forgot the screams.
Sometimes there's nothing you can do.

In a fire everything happens split moment you have to know what's happening and what's going to happen at all moments in time first of all that dog would already been outside LOL if there was opportunity doors open what have you but nobody can answer this I can't answer this question because I don't know how much time is left I would want to go in there and get the pet but that doesn't mean that I would
I think in real life, fire fighters would get fired if they prized the life of an animal over their own, it might sound romantic, but it’s not the practical option, and even low risk ventures are dangerous because all fires are dangerous if it requires fire fighter help.
oml I feel so mean laughing😭😭 is the wife okay?
If it was a kid, I'd save the kid regardless of the pet. If it was a little pet like a bird or a fish im sorry but bye. Like I'm gonna save a cat or a dog, but y'all only live like four years.

The firefighter's life counts too; if I was one and had to make a judgement call I'd probably not, unless the fire isn't severe or we've got it under control.
Pets are usually the first to try to leave in my mind, unless they're trapped or staying with their owner.
:)... you take yo pet... and stfu, sir.
He betta take his pet and be happy he has SOMEONE.
Firefighters have training and guidelines for dealing with these situations. My guess is that only if in the judgment of the firefighter or the site commander that the situation did not present a risk to the firefighter's life, e. g., the structural integrity of the building is gone, and the location of the pet is known. Otherwise, no. The life of the pet is not as important as human life.
Ha! That sucks. What show? I'd definitely need more info. But if it really was a pet then sure I'd think this traumatic experience in that person's life needs their beloved pet out of all this if at all possible. I think as a firefighter you put those things first.
I would, yes. If the animal gets trapped and is too scared to move, I am helping it. Doesn't matter if it is a dog, cat, bird, fish, etc. Going to get the pet out instead of letting it suffer via smoke inhalation or burning alive.
You have to assess the situation, if you think you can get it done without endangering your life then yes as much as we love our pets, it's not worth dying over attempting to save someone's pet
Honestly no, I would only run back in for the people/pets that I care for or when I for sure knew it wouldn't be to dangerous to go in again but I ain't risking my life for strangers

they would not have to tell me to do it
I would absolutely and definitely do it... and I might the pet first than the people, lmao I'd save the pet first, as well as any babies, because either will panic and not stay still or cover its mouth. So it's at the highest risk of being the first death from the fire (should any occur).
If the fire isn't big enough to swallow me whole I would go back for the pet. However if the fire got big , I wouldn't go back.
I'm not about to lie for clout. If I can find a way I will but if the fire's too big and it's everywhere, the cat will most likely be dead and there would be no way in.
I would but that dude ought to scrutable with what he's saying, otherwise I wouldn't know who i'm saving lol
Yes I'd go back in for a cat or dog. That is if my battalion chief would let me go back in.
Personally, I would make sure all my animals were out of the house. I'd keep going in to get them all out.- u
Would be me working out if it could be done any level of slight risk when attempting it and thats a fat no
Only if it’s a dog because cats are usually serial arsonists and the cat was probably the one who started the fire to protest getting more expensive fancy cat food.
I would definitely try, I hate the thought of any living being getting burnt alive and also to me pets are family.
I would but only if it wasn't dangerous to do so, sometime you cannot go back in cause it's too dangerous but then again you have people that would just run in so
If I was there, the pet would've already been the first one out. Then I might decide to go back for the people if the mood was right
I'd like to believe I would, but I wouldn't really know for certain unless I was in that situation.
"Sure, bitch! But you come with me first!"
