Do Pretty Women get special treatment in the workplace?

The myth is that they do.

But the reality is much different.

I had an encounter like it a while back, where we had a new start "pretty" secretary in the office. Nothing much to me, but the execs asked me to show her around the building. I did so, bought her lunch to boot too.

She must have took the wrong idea as she started being a bitch to the other admins. Within a month I ended up writing her up to be terminated.

She thought I had "hots" for her as I bought her lunch and showed her around. I looked in the face and told her she didn't have the pretty privilege. I like show new starts around as I like to know who is new at working.

Always has been. She could literally be dumbest most useless office worker with no ability to actually be competent at work and still out earn any of the others male or female who have dignity and actually work. I'd call that the office prostitute who basically works as the bosses prostitute only and just sits around or taps around on a PC. Wonder how many there actually are of they exist at all.

I also wonder how much less work companies are doing as women have taken 50% of office jobs and with the median work hours of both genders we could see who is actually the one that brings in the most money to a company.

@RiseofArtemis. Agreed, also these women are normally in gibberish jobs like HR, corporate communications, random Admin, etc. These jobs are mostly bureaucratic non-work.

Yes 1000% I've noticed this. For example since I've dyed my hair pink no men will help anymore but when I was blonded with long hair they all would fight with each other to help me

I would say, yes they do. And they are usually nicer unless they are older. The younger ones never get bullied or picked on, so they never bully or pick on others

I have seen that happen at the place where I just retired from, I was a Shop Steward and I defended a lot of Single Moms and Older Women who got bullied and picked on usually by Management, I have seen the pretty Young Women get away with murder in the workplace.

it's called halp effect. Both good looking men and women are perceived as better than they actual are because of their looks. People will be more forgiving of fuck ups if you are attractive and praise the hell out of you or think you are better than you actual are just from your looks alone.

Can go either way. Beauty bias is a proven thing so therefore many pretty people will get treated differently however the bias don't have to be a good bias.
You could easily be an attractive woman that someone has a bias towards you thinking another dumb blond vice to say they will not be treating you better. But also many times because your attractive a person may be more inclined to be polite or help you out and put more effort into it.

Yes, but only to a certain level. Pretty women may be treated easier, as men like them, and want to appease them, but when it comes to the higher levels, being pretty as a woman is a hindrance. They get passed over, and not taken seriously (as often).

However, good looking men don't have this issue- they typically have an advantage through their career.

Attractive people man or woman will always get treated differently. A common misconception is that attractiveness=Barbie/Ken dolls. Basic attributes of being attractive are having good hygiene, confident demeanor, and pleasant attitude.

Definitely. My cousin was once offered a manager or supervisor position about 2 or 3 weeks into a job.

She is a very good looking woman and the dude there liked her.
