Do you think that taking a career break is seen as frivolous?

That’s what my elder brother is doing.

He worked for a bit and is now taking a break and enjoying his life.

I mean as long as he’s happy.

Of course it's frivilous, but that doesn't make it a bad idea.

Why of course? I don't think it's frivolous. I think wasting money is frivolous not wanting time for yourself

Maybe I should have said "of course," but this is definitely something I feel strongly about. My logic is that anytime you're taking personal time without an action plan; that's a luxury because you could be using that time more productively.

I work to accomplish and add value to my life both in acquisition and as securing comfortable income flow. And then, I can chill like your brother. Everyone does have a different approach.

15 years for me is 41... Truth is on residual rental monthly income, in USA, O could "retire" by 35. My work in hard assets and travel Internationally (SE, Greater Asia, and Middle East when have too). A month in Thailand beaches etc... I work 3 plus time zones BUT my work enjoys a vacation element too. Malaysia, Singapore, Korea... that kind of thing.

You must be 16... I have a pretty good life with at least 16 weeks of vacation yearly mixed in with work requirements... I am playing more in 3 years than you, including you, brother, whole Family, and your cousins, will over a lifetime... Obviously, you have not lived long enough to have a clue about the subject matter at hand
