Would it be stupid of me to quit my job & take a pretty good pay cut?

a little back ground info
right now i'm assistant manager for a pool company retail shop i make $16.12 an hour
my mother is getting older & has a few problems.

i'm thinking about quitting & getting a job i can walk to in my area as i dont drive yet so i can be closer to my mom & also because i really hate my job
the job i have is not fair away but i still have to wait for a lyft or a bus to get home & go there everyday.

there is not many jobs by me riteaid food store new family dollar few other jobs by me

the job i have now gives me 20 hours of overtime i sually work 60hours a week for the whole summer good money but i'm tired of working that many hours

My brother from another mother we’re all getting older & I’m sorry to hear your mother has a few problems. In addition quitting your job would be the stupidest thing to do right now. As for me I always tell people if you are going to quit a job just make sure you have another job lined up & as for your if you are thinking about quitting just make sure you have another job lined up. When it comes to overtime a lot of jobs don’t offer overtime & as for you I say suck them dry until the overtime is gone.

Dealing with rude assholes is everywhere you go & if companies don’t want to pay employees aren’t going to stay & the old saying is you get what you pay for. I need a good laugh what are you paying your summer employees?

As for me I live in the United States & I’m covered under Blue Cross Blue Shield & to be honest I wouldn’t qualify for free Medicare. As for you you’re an assistant manager & that my friend is a plus for you & if you are management at one place you can be management at other places as well.
